Sometimes just taking a break is enough, but often getting feedback from\u00a0other professionals you trust can\u00a0help. The spotlight series is an attempt to show what that feedback looks like, and to highlight\u00a0some of the cooler\u00a0parts of the game that get\u00a0buried under the weekly grind.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I was searching through the loads of work Sew has done and these great tree monster designs really caught my eye; I thought they should be showcased. They are unique because most artists make the decision to focus\u00a0on the bark when working on treeish creatures. Instead he successfully uses the leaves to give the creature a formidable mass. This decision also makes it easy to create more creatures of the same type with a lot of variation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crabattack.org\/blog\/hawk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tree-Monsters-Mar-23-2015.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.crabattack.org\/blog\/hawk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tree-Monsters-Mar-23-2015.png\" alt=\"Tree Monsters Mar 23 2015\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.crabattack.org\/blog\/hawk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tree-Monsters-Mar-23-2015.png 600w, https:\/\/www.crabattack.org\/blog\/hawk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tree-Monsters-Mar-23-2015-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.crabattack.org\/blog\/hawk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tree-Monsters-Mar-23-2015-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.crabattack.org\/blog\/hawk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tree-Monsters-Mar-23-2015-144x144.png 144w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, I think including elements of skeletal design makes the creature look more menacing without shoving the\u00a0evilness down our throats. This is just one design of many.
